Procurement Buyer

JOB SUMMARY

Manage the procurement and supply of materials to support the factory production plan. Help ensure material supply meets material demand to support factory production in a timely and cost-effective manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Manage a portfolio of vendors and drive material supply in line with factory demand.
• Execute through SAP the output of the SIOP demand plan to ensure materials supply to the feed factory builds
• Conduct weekly supplier reviews to help maintain supplier on time delivery performance, focusing on service and delivery targets.
• Execute rolling forecasts & Purchase Orders to the supply base in a timely manner to ensure flexible production planning & supply to meet factory requirements.
• Utilize SAP to generate reports & extract data to manage forecasting, supply and planning of materials to and from the factory.
• Manage new Product introduction projects, including the approval and implementation of new product SKUs and suppliers.
• Ensure accurate pricing and supply data is maintained in SAP for purchases.
• Identify opportunities to achieve positive cost savings across the supply chain.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop strong relationships with other internal functions including Quality, Engineering, Production and Sales Teams.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Education

• Bachelors degree or, equivalent of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job may be considered.
• Chemistry /Medial device background preferred.

Experience

• Minimum 3 years experience.
• Experience gained within a hi-volume manufacturing environment preferred.
• Understanding of lean manufacturing principles preferred.
• Minimum 1 year experience with SAP.

Skills

• Knowledge and use of relevant PC software applications and skills to use them effectively.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Strong data management and analytical skills.
• Adaptable, flexible and able to work with minimum supervision while prioritizing tasks.

Target Pay Range:$54,to$67, -Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data

Target Bonus on Base:7.0%
