Job Overview
The Sr. Director, Service will play an integral role in the strategic planning and implementation of programs related to the establishment and development of service opportunities covering all Getinge devices, technologies, and equipment in an effort to achieve provide world-class service, meet established KPIs and deliver sustainable sales and profitable growth. This position leads the 4 main functional areas of the US Service organization - Field Service, Technical Support, Depot Operations and SWIC Project Management/Installation.
Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties
FINANCIAL
- Submission of sales forecast for each team within the Service organization
- P&L responsibility for the Service organization, ensuring that Turnover, GP and EBITA targets are met in accordance with approved budgets.
- Submission of unit files, for each team within the Service organization, for Budget, P1, P2, P3 forecasts to the NA President and Financial Controller in a timely manner in accordance with reporting deadlines.
STRATEGIC
- Provide strategic direction and development of the Service activities of Getinge US. This includes the submission of a Strategic Plan on an annual basis.
- Participate, manage and deliver on special projects to meet the strategic objectives of Getinge Group, as required.
- Supports and approves development of mid to long term strategic plans for the Services business area.
- Lead change management by example and actively contribute towards integrating the ACT and SW businesses to work collaboratively as "One Getinge".
MANAGERIAL
- Responsible for leading and building a performance driven culture
- Regional Support - Liaise with the Commercial Operations teams, building strong working relationships to ensure that customers remain a priority. Attend Strategy Meetings with BU and conduct regular business reviews with the Area Managers & Vice Presidents of each BU as needed.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in sales, financial management, and people leadership.
- Successful interactions with Senior Leaders and Managers as well with all varying levels of customer staff (up to C-suite level).
- Working knowledge of hospital procurement processes
Minimum Requirements
- Masters degree in Management, Engineering, Medical/Life Science related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- Previous background and experience in medical devices sector
- Previous background and experience in capital/consumable sales strongly preferred
- Minimum 10+ years of service leadership experience
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrated knowledge of, and experience in, sales, financial management, and people leadership.
- Successful interactions with Senior Leaders and Managers, as well with varying levels of customer staff (up to C-suite level).
- Working knowledge of hospital procurement processes
- Education in a healthcare or life science related discipline would be advantageous
