Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Experience in apparel design, preferably baby or toddler
• Understanding and knowledge of fabrics and apparel construction
• Experience in gift/hard good design
• Capability to work/collaborate with a small team
• Ability to recognize and analyze trends
• Must be comfortable with communicating with overseas vendors
• Group presentation skills including oral delivery and product walk throughs
• Ability to multi-task with exceptional organizational skills
• Must work well in small group environments
• Execution of designs with overseas vendors through outlined sampling and development process
• Collaboration with Technical Designer in creation of apparel tech packs
• Approvals for all design and production submits
• Support development team and sales team by preparing necessary visual tools

Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in Fashion Design, Graphic Design or related field
• Entry level and experienced candidates will be considered
• Proficient in Adobe Suite (In-Design, Photoshop) with expertise in Adobe Illustrator
• Excellent organization and leadership skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to maintain and build relationships with overseas vendors
• High level of creativity paired with a strong understanding of the Mud Pie aesthetic
• Be able to work on deadlines and juggle multiple projects at once
• Organization with a dedication to details and final product quality
• Flexibility and a positive attitude under pressure
